PVMS technology is based in an equipment installed obligatorily on board of the vessels, the AIS (Automatic Identification System). It receives the signal from GPS (Global System Position) and sends all the information of the vessel via radio, through protocol TDM (Time Division Multiplexing). PVMS, with a system of towers and receivers located in some points of the ports, receives and treats these signals visually, storing them in a data base and making them available for all its users.
